Our journey began with a shared passion for equines (horses) and the equestrian industry, which has always been a symbol of majesty and elegance in Sri Lanka.
Our team, determined to unlock the maximum potential of racehorses, we embarked on a mission fuelled by extensive research, dedication, and relentless pursuit for excellence. Finally, we were able to discover the optimal formula to cultivating a top-tier racehorse.
We recognised that neither simply training nor strategies were enough to create a winning racehorse. We invested our time into honing our methods into a wholistic programme that perfectly balanced tactics, environment, care, and cutting-edge technology.
Our programme is to be centred around a new and fully equipped facility in the heart of Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya, a town with a long heritage and culture intertwined with equestrianism. It sits around 2000-2500m above sea level, with the ideal weather and climate for developing racehorses.
With all the puzzle pieces: location, strategy, and team; falling together, we are able to show confidence in achieving a new era of excellence with SAHAETA.
Intermittent Hypoxic Training (IHT) or Altitude Training means breathing in hypoxic air, commonly known as altitude air through exercise or even simple exposure. Training in areas with lower oxygen percentages can result in improvements in sport performance, health, losing extra weight and help acclimatize to high mountains. IHT can be done naturally or through artificially made systems. Artificial systems create synthetic environments that are similar to high altitude locations.
Exposure to hypoxic air, through altitude training systems, stimulates a series of physiological adaptations in the body. The resulting adaptations increase the effectiveness and strengthen the functioning of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems and increase the transmission and use of oxygen in the body.
1. Improving health, well-being and longevity of equines with high altitude training.
2. Facilitating and promoting equines, as well as equestrian and human athlete-centric projects.
3. Facilitating and developing the best practices of the next generation with the help of training & guidance technology.
